The National Hockey League announced that Las Vegas has been awarded an expansion team to begin play for the 2017-18 season.
Perhaps for those many visiting Hawaii tourists, the newly opened T-Mobile arena will become a regular hot (…or cool) spot. The arena will seat 17,368 for hockey and provide a new and exciting addition to any trip. Could the Las Vegas franchise become a local favorite? This could be the first hockey team with a legitimate reason to market to a Hawaii fan base.
Wouldn’t it be great to have a facility large enough to host a preseason NHL contest in the islands?!
